California Republicans have added musicians to the list of workers they’re seeking to exempt from the ABC test to determine who is an employee. Sen. Brian Jones, R-Santee, introduced Senate Bill 881, which proposes to add musicians and music industry professionals to the list of workers providing “professional services” who were exempted from the new test in AB 5.
