The West Virginia Board of Risk and Insurance Management has hired Charleston workers’ compensation attorney Mary Jane Pickens as its next executive director, according to the Charleston Gazette.
Pickens previously worked as the West Virginia Insurance Commission’s lead attorney. She currently serves as counsel for Spilman, Thomas & Battle. Her primary areas of practice include regulatory compliance, insurance and government relations, according to the firm’s website.
