The Village of Laurelville is going to resume paying workers' compensation premiums for its police officers, after receiving a $2,300 bill from the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.The village had attempted to declare that its police officers were independent contractors by classifying them as 1099 contract employees, according to a report in the Logan Daily newspaper.
