A Texas phlebotomist who claimed she could not work was sentenced to 18 months of deferred adjudication after she was convicted of double dipping.
Ruth Castilleja, of Baytown, will also pay $7,100 in restitution to Texas Mutual Insurance Co. She has already served three days in Travis County Jail and attended theft school, according to the statewide carrier.
