Bill Would Revise Embattled Hanford Presumption to Cover All 'Exposed Workers'

All workers exposed to radiological hazardous waste at the Hanford nuclear reservation would be covered by a presumption that certain conditions are compensable, under legislation introduced Tuesday in the Washington Legislature. Senate Bill 5890, by Sen. Karen Keiser, D-Des Moines, would clarify eligibility for the presumption enacted in 2018, according to a summary of the measure.
