Newspaper Calls for Scrutiny over Rebates Given to Insurers

After the watchdog journalism website Oklahoma Watch published an article detailing the state’s failure to properly implement a law restricting rebates that resulted in over $90 million paid to insurers, the editorial team at the Tulsa World newspaper is calling for public scrutiny.  Two laws in the past five years had removed the rebate program for insurers paying into the state’s Multiple injury Trust Fund.
