California's Senate Appropriations Committee on Thursday passed three workers' compensation measures ahead of a key legislative deadline that could have taken the bills out of consideration for the remainder of this year's session.
The Appropriations Committee voted 5-1 to pass a measure that would require the Division of Workers' Compensation to implement a prescription drug formulary by July 1, 2017. The committee voted 5-2 to pass a bill prohibiting gender-based discrimination in apportionment decisions. Republicans cast the only votes against all three measures.
