A bill that recognizes and registers professional employer organizations has passed the Senate Labor and Workforce Development Committee and has been referred to the Senate Ways and Means Committee.
SB 2110 is sponsored by members from both parties on the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development.
Under the bill, PEOs would not be able to engage in any occupation, trade, profession or other activity that is subject to licensing, registration or certification requirements required of the covered employer.
