Medval Acquired by Brown & Brown's Advocator Group

The Advocator Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., has acquired Medval, a provider of Medicare secondary payer services. Medval has annual revenue of about $10 million, Brown & Brown said in announcing the acquisition. The Medval team will continue to operate as Medval LLC from its offices in California, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Medval will remain under the leadership of Jon Gunter, who will report to Julie Turpin, chief executive officer of The Advocator Group.
