Court Upholds PPD Award for Worker With Leg Impairment

The Virginia Court of Appeals upheld an award of permanent partial disability benefits to a firefighter based on the degree of leg impairment caused by a hip injury prior to surgery. Case: Loudoun County v. Richardson, No. 1533-18-4, 04/16/2019, published. Facts: Michael Richardson worked for Loudoun County as a fire battalion chief. He injured his left hip during a work performance evaluation on July 10, 2013.
