Bill Proposes Comp Coverage for Domestic Workers

Domestic workers would be eligible for workers’ compensation coverage, under a bill introduced in the Virginia General Assembly. House Bill 1196, Del. Wendy W. Gooditis, D-Clarke, would repeal a statute that states domestic workers are not considered employees for workers’ compensation coverage purposes and add language saying anyone providing domestic services is an employee.
