The California Supreme Court on Wednesday denied review to two workers' compensation appeals, including a dispute over the payment due to a permanently injured heavy equipment operator.
Timothy Smith had asked the Supreme Court to take up his case after the 2nd District Court of Appeal summarily denied review of it in February.
Smith had sought benefits for an alleged 2002 injury to his arm, shoulder and back while working for West Coast Aggregates in Half Moon Bay. He also claimed to suffer from chronic pain and that he had an injury to his psyche.
