The latest single-payer health care proposal in California would once again defer to an advisory panel to figure out how to deal with treating occupational injuries.
Assembly Bill 1400, introduced Friday by Assemblyman Ash Kalra, D-San Jose, would create the California Guaranteed Health Care for All Program to provide comprehensive single-payer coverage for all state residents.
The measure would create a nine-member executive board to establish and implement the new program.
