Judge John R. Hoffert has been re-elected to a two-year term as presiding judge over the Workers’ Compensation Court.
The court is made up of seven judges who are initially appointed by the governor and who then remain on the bench for successive six-year terms upon approval of voters.
Every two years, the judges pick a presiding judge subject to the approval of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
Hoffert was first elected last October to fill the unexpired term of Judge Laureen K. Van Norman, who retired in January.
