Department Wants to Extend WC Discounts to Drug-Free Workplaces

The Delaware Department of Insurance is accepting public comment on changes to its workplace safety program, which would extend premium discounts to drug-free work sites. The department, in conjunction with the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau, has provided the workers' compensation discount program since 1989, allowing discounts of up to 19% for employers that participate in safety programs and maintain safe operations.
