Jury Awards $2.8 Million in Worker's Fatal Fall at Condominium

A Travis County district court jury has awarded $2.8 million to the family of a worker who fell to his death April 21, 2008, at a Horseshoe Bay, Texas, construction site, the Austin American-Statesman reported on Tuesday.The jury found Monday that negligence by Senderro Construction Services of Austin, general contractor at the site, was 98% responsible for the death of Jose Rodriguez.Robby Alden, attorney for Rodriguez's wife and three children, told the newspaper he argued that Senderro was responsible for the improper installation of guardrails that could have prevented the accident.Ald...
