The New Jersey Bar Association is urging lawmakers to once again consider moving workers' compensation judges into the state's pension system and out of a 401(k)-type retirement plan.
The bar's board of trustees met last week and endorsed several pieces of pending legislation, including Senate Bill 758 and Assembly Bill 1032. Those measures would exempt the state's 45 comp judges from a 2007 law that forced new state officials into the market-driven, defined-contribution plan.
