New York state’s maximum weekly benefit rate, effective July 1, will be $808.65, the Workers’ Compensation Board announced Thursday.Since July 2010, the weekly benefit rate for workers’ compensation claimants has been two-thirds of the state’s average weekly wage for the previous calendar year.The Department of Labor recently reported that the state’s average weekly wage for 2013 was $1,212.98.
