The Industrial Commission’s Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee has scheduled a public hearing to discuss proposed rule changes that would affect payment for ambulatory services.
The proposal is in relation to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Comprehensive Ambulatory Payment Classification, which packages together different services into a single payment. The new codes have also increased payments for orthopedic procedures done at hospitals or ambulatory surgical centers.
