The California Assembly unanimously passed a bill that would allow coverage of services from licensed clinical social workers and allow employers to add them to their medical networks.
The Assembly on Monday voted 76-0 to pass SB 1002, by Sen. Anthony Portantino, D-La Canada Flintridge.
The bill would allow medical provider networks to include licensed clinical social workers, but they would not be allowed to determine liability.
