The Work Loss Data Institute on Tuesday announced the release of a new parallel version of its Official Disability Guidelines (ODG), which uses the ICD-10 coding system, with guideline recommendations and data converted to ICD-9.Use of the alphanumeric International Classification of Diseases-10 medical diagnostic coding system is mandated for use in the United States by Oct. 1, 2013, replacing the current numeric ICD-9 coding system.
