MLAC to Continue Discussion of Bills in Friday Meetings

Oregon’s Management-Labor Advisory Committee will on Friday continue its review of bills that would revise more than a dozen workers’ compensation statutes. MLAC will discuss House Bill 2413 during a meeting that starts at 11 a.m. The bill would require ongoing payment of temporary disability benefits for the duration of vocational rehabilitation programs. Injured workers can receive up to 16 months of TD while enrolled in training classes, with payers having the option of voluntarily extending benefits up to 21 months.
