An Arizona court ruled that a woman shot at work by her ex-boyfriend can’t sue her employer because workers’ compensation is her exclusive remedy.
The court said the August 2016 shooting arose out of and in the course of Valerie Soto’s employment as a youth mentor at the United Methodist Outreach Ministries New Day Centers in Phoenix.
