The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Wayne Farms LLC for exposing workers to dangerous machinery, falls and musculoskeletal disorder hazards, OSHA announced in a release.
Wayne Farms, a poultry-processing plant based in Jack, Alabama, was cited for nine serious violations, one repeat violation and one other-than-serious violation. OSHA began its investigation after receiving a complaint from the Southern Poverty Law Center. Proposed penalties for the violations total $102,600.
