New Mexico state Rep. Dennis Roch said Democrats in the Senate killed a bill that would have authorized a workers' compensation judge to reduce benefits by 10% to 90% if a worker was impaired at the time of the injury.
The Republican from Logan, in a guest column published Thursday by the Albuquerque Journal, said the House passed House Bill 238 on Feb. 19 but sat for almost a month in the Senate without receiving a committee hearing.
