The maximum temporary disability benefit is dropping 2.2% for injuries occurring on or after July 1, the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced.
The maximum statutory TD benefit will dip to $1,723.49 from $1,762.57. The reduced benefit applies only to new injuries. Benefits to workers injured before July 1 can’t be reduced when the new rates take effect.
Maximum temporary disability benefits are equal to 133% of the state’s average weekly wage.
The division said in Bulletin No. 111 that the average weekly wage decreased 2.2% to $1,295.86 from $1,325.24.
