The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division issued an industry notice providing examples of how to calculate wages for workers injured on or after Feb. 21.
The division has been tinkering since the start of 2017 with rules governing how to calculate wages for workers with irregular earnings. System users complained that the wage average method used since the start of 2017 underpaid people who receive an irregular wage or who received a raise in the previous year.
