Inspector General Prosecuted 34 for Work Comp Fraud

New York state's inspector general last year prosecuted 34 people — including claimants, employers and physicians — for workers' compensation fraud, according to a report released last week. That's a sharp increase from 2017, but is far fewer than some states with smaller populations. Stakeholders are now wondering what 2019 will bring in the wake of an abrupt shakeup at the inspector general's office. Gov.
