Investigators: Business Owner Short-Changed Carriers by $100k in Comp Premiums

Investigators with the state Department of Financial Services announced that the owner of a south Florida construction company was arrested on suspicion of concealing more than $2 million in payroll to avoid higher workers' compensation premiums. Angel Santos Tzunun, owner of Angel M.E. Construction Corp., was booked into Miami-Dade County Jail and charged with felony workers' compensation premium fraud and grand theft.
