The owner of a construction company in Miami was arrested for allegedly underreporting his payroll to avoid paying more than $718,000 in workers’ compensation premiums, the Florida Department of Financial Services announced. Damart Oshain Burnett, owner of Damart Builders Corp., was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County.
