The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health assessed a combined $68,850 in penalties against two employers for violations that exposed workers at San Francisco International Airport to carbon monoxide.
The agency commonly known as Cal/OSHA said in a statement that two plumbers from Gladiator Rooter & Plumbing were using a gas-powered saw to cut through concrete in an enclosed space where they were replacing sewer pipes for airline caterer Gate Gourmet Inc.
