The California Self-Insurers Association is holding its 2017 Fall Educational Conference Oct. 19 at the Marriott Hotel in Walnut Creek.
Presentations during the conference will explore issues including apportionment of orthopedic work-related impairment to non-industrial factors, the interplay between western medicine and holistic healing, case law trends and the use of social media in claim investigations.
Another session will explore polypharmacy — the use of multiple drugs to treat the same condition or when a patient is prescribed multiple drugs by more than one provider.
