A Pittsburgh claimants' attorney fighting to keep his $14,750 unreasonable contest attorney's fee award in a case that was later decided for the employer told the Pennsylvania Supreme Court last week that there is no law requiring him to give up the fee.
David Landay submitted his argument to the high court in County of Allegheny v. Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (Parker) on Friday, according to the docket. His brief was joined by a friend-of-the-court brief filed by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice on Monday. The defense has 30 days to submit a reply.
