Philadelphia lawyer Christian Petrucci is strongly opposed to Pennsylvania Senate Bill 76, which among other things would impose a tax on certain legal services, and he predicts its demise.
In an opinion column in The Legal Intelligencer, Petrucci states that there seems to be minimal incentive in the state Senate to act on the measure, given the fact that Gov. Tom Corbett (R) is up for re-election. He also asserts that if the bill becomes law, “it will severely injure those dependent on the already-deficient workers’ compensation system.”
