Montana State Fund earned 6% more in premiums in 2014 than it did the year before, while the policyholder surplus increased 19%, according to the carrier's latest annual report.
Net earned premium increased to $165.3 million in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, from $156.1 million the previous year.
Incurred losses of $127.8 million were up 14.7%, compared to $111.5 million in the previous year, while loss expenses dropped 45% to $15.5 million from $28.4 million.
