Videotape of School Cook's Shopping Trip Leads to Fraud Charges

A cook for a Santa Barbara, California, school faced two felony insurance fraud charges after she was videotaped driving and carrying groceries after telling her physician she was in so much pain she "rarely goes out of the house." The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office charged Martha Avila, 52, with fraud after receiving a referral from Probe Information Services.
