A policy committee in the Utah House of Representatives unanimously passed an amended bill that would create a rebuttable presumption that all law enforcement injuries are compensable.
The House Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee on Thursday voted 7-0 to pass HB 368.
As introduced by Rep. Tyler Clancy, R-Provo, the bill would have required apprentices to provide a portion of labor on public works projects. As amended by Clancy on Thursday, the bill would create a universal presumption for law enforcement officers.
