Court Upholds Denial of PTD Benefits to Injured Teacher

An Ohio appellate court ruled that an injured school teacher was not entitled to permanent total disability benefits. Case: State ex rel. Franta v. Industrial Commission, No. 19AP-530, 04/29/2021, published.   Facts and procedural history: Cindy Franta worked as an elementary school teacher for Columbus City Schools. She injured her back in 2010 when she fell out of a chair at work.
