The California Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding a public hearing on Jan. 26 for a proposed update to the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule.
The division is proposing to incorporate into the MTUS the Dec. 12 update to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s opioid guidelines.
Proposed evidence-based updates to the MTUS are exempt from certain rulemaking requirements, but the division is required to have a 30-day comment period with a public hearing.
The DWC is holding a virtual public hearing at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26.
