WCRI: Comorbidities Fairly Common in Cases With Low-Back Pain

The Workers Compensation Research Institute on Tuesday published results of a study that found comorbidities — health conditions not resulting from a work-related injury — were fairly common on claims for low-back pain. WCRI reported that hypertension, arthritis, sleep dysfunction, depression and anxiety or panic disorders were the five comorbidities most commonly reported by injured workers.
