Treatment Authorization for Social Workers Reappears in Legislature

New York lawmakers will once again have the opportunity to debate whether social workers should be allowed to provide services to injured workers this year. Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow, D-Yonkers, introduced A852, which would allow licensed clinical social workers to treat injured workers upon referral from an authorized physician.
