DWC Posts Interpretive Bulletin on Payment for Medical Services

Colorado’s Division of Workers’ Compensation issued an interpretative bulletin explaining changes to payment rules for medical services that go into effect in 2018. Starting next year, physician assistants who secure Level 1 accreditation will be paid at 100% of the fee schedule value. Assistants who do not receive the accreditation necessary to qualify as a treating physician will continue to receive the maximum rate of 85% of the fee schedule amount.
