An injured worker who says he has been waiting eight months for a decision in his case asked California Gov. Jerry Brown to quickly fill vacancies on the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
The board, which is supposed to have seven commissioners, has operated with just five since April 2016 when chairwoman Ronnie Caplane retired.
Richard Rossi, a paint spray equipment demonstrator, said in a letter to the governor that was shared with WorkCompCentral that he has been waiting since August 2016 for the WCAB to resolve a dispute over his level of permanent disability.
