Bill Proposes Revisions to Wage Calculation Process

Washington lawmakers are proposing a number of revisions to how wages are calculated in order to determine benefits owed to injured workers. Senate Bill 5217, introduced by Sen. Karen Keiser, D-Kent, on Wednesday declares the desire of the Legislature to ensure that wages are calculated in a fair and reasonable manner so as to accurately reflect an injured worker’s lost earning capacity.
