Amputation Leads to Investigation, Citations for Metal-Fabricating Co.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited M&M Manufacturing Co. in Houston for one repeat and three serious safety violations, OSHA announced in a release. The agency’s Houston North Area Office began its inspection of M&M in March after receiving a report that there had been an amputation at the facility. OSHA issued the serious violations for failing to disable potentially hazardous machinery and not guarding machine parts.
