New Rules Would Make it Difficult to Reopen Claims, Attorneys Say

The New York Workers' Compensation Board has proposed new rules that have surprised claimants' and defense attorneys alike, with some arguing that the changes could make it much harder to reopen claims. “I don’t know what prompted this, but clearly, the WCB is attempting to make it more difficult for claimants to reopen cases,” said Bill Turley, president of the Injured Workers' Bar Association of New York State.
