An Ohio claimant who was working for a nonprofit organization while collecting workers' compensation benefits was ordered to pay $2,768.55 in restitution, the Bureau of Workers' Compensation announced.
Richard Thomas, of Toledo, pleaded guilty to workers' compensation fraud. The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas sentenced him to 90 days in jail on Feb. 11, but suspended the jail term if he pays restitution.
