WCB to Discuss Attorney Fees at Oct. 29 Meeting

The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board will discuss several issues relating to attorney fees, including a proposal to have a separate proceeding to determine a reasonable rate, and increasing the investigative statement fee. The board’s attorney fee advisory committee in July voted to propose allowing claimants’ attorneys to bifurcate the assessed fee issue when their clients prevail.
