The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania upheld an award of payment to a provider, ruling that an insurance carrier could not refuse to pay for treatment unrelated to a worker’s compensable injuries when the carrier had failed to pursue utilization review.
Amato Berardi worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a store clerk. He fell in a parking lot outside the store in June 2019.
