Special accidental death benefits for survivors of New York firefighters and police officers would be increased, by 3% for 2020, under a bill that passed the Assembly this week.
Bill A4079 was approved by the full Assembly Tuesday and is now in the hands of the Senate. It provides an inflation adjustment for special death benefits provided to survivors of officers killed in the line of duty.
